Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam: The Expectations

 

In March 2006 the Fund for Reconciliation and Development co-sponsored an international conference on the social, economic and psychological impacts of Agent Orange/Dioxin. The conference was coordinated by the Center for Gender, Family, and Environment in Development, a Vietnamese research institution. It was attended by more than 120 official participants coming from eight countries: Australia, Denmark, South Korea, The United States, Germany, France, Sweden and Vietnam. The participants included social and natural scientists, academics, representatives of US and Vietnamese Veterans, members of Red Cross Associations, care and rehabilitation centers for disabled children, social and humanitarian organizations and activists.
