The estimated direct cost per person for the 30th anniversary trip, including flights within the region, but excluding air fare from the US, is

Vietnam only:  $1,500
Addition of Cambodia:  $900
Addition of Laos:  $900

These costs are based on 15 participants. If the number is less than 15, the estimated costs will increase.

Hotel rooms are normally 3 star, single occupancy, at international standards.  Couples will be placed in larger rooms.  Participants who prefer to stay in 4 or 5 star hotels and to fly business class on internal flights (when available) can do so at a 60% cost increment (VN = $2,400, C = $1,440, L = $1,440).  Visa payments, departure taxes and personal tips to hotel staff totaling about $200 are not included and will be paid individually.

A portion of the cost of the trip is a tax deductible contribution in support of two decades of work by the Fund for Reconciliation and Development that makes possible this special program within Indochina.

Estimated cost of economy air fare between the US and Indochina is approximately $1,000 but we are awaiting final prices from our probable carrier, Korean Air Lines.  Costs will vary according to departure city.

Space is limited.  Applications should be accompanied by a $500 deposit.  If an applicant is not accepted, the deposit will be returned.   Payment for the full balance of costs must be received by FRD no later than 30 days before departure date.   Cancellation by faxed notification will result in reimbursement at the following rate:  more than 30 days before departure 100% less administrative fee of $200, no later than 15 days before departure 75%, between 7 and 14 days 50%.  Cancellation due to medical and other verifiable emergencies may be reimbursed at a higher rate at the sole discretion of FRD, but participants are urged to purchase applicable travel insurance.

Payment for international air tickets will be made directly to FRD's travel agent.  Reimbursement will be subject to the airline's cancellation penalties.  International air travel may be arranged privately, on the condition that the participant arrives and departs on the same days as the rest of the group and that FRD receives a copy of the confirmed travel itinerary no less than 30 days before departure from the US.

Payments to FRD may be by personal check, credit card or Pay Pal.  Credit card and Pay Pal payments are subject to a 5% surcharge.
